Bev Oda must resign

John —

International Cooperation Minister Bev Oda ordered a ministerial document to be falsified and then misled Canadians about it.

Bev Oda must resign

Can you imagine if you did something like that at your job? You’d be let go in a second.

Yet for days now, Stephen Harper has refused to listen to calls from Liberal MPs to fire Bev Oda for covering up her involvement in having the word “NOT” scrawled on a ministerial funding order that was already signed off by CIDA department officials. (see image, above).

Now, instead of saying this dishonesty has no place in Parliament, Stephen Harper is shielding Bev Oda and even applauding her conduct in hopes the dust will settle and Canadians will forget.

Liberals believe this is NOT acceptable. And we think you agree.

That’s why we’ve launched a petition calling for accountability and an end to the culture of secrecy and deceit in Ottawa that is leaving our democracy in tatters.

Please sign the petition now — demand Bev Oda’s resignation.

Once you’ve signed, please forward this email, or share the petition, with everyone you know.

Thank you.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive???

Bev Oda’s resignation letter” by way of Warren Kinsella.

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May said this week. “The most plausible explanation . . . is that Bev Oda signed the approval and the “NOT” was inserted subsequently.”

Did Harper or his office overrule her? Has Oda been a loyal trooper, carrying the can for her boss? Is that why Harper is defending the indefensible?
