Out and about in the City of Mississauga….

…. with Mayor Hazel McCallion.

Rick Mercer – Welcome to Mississauga

You have got to watch this.
This is an 88 year old Mayor of the sixth largest city in CANADA.
She plays ice hockey (watch her skate!). And her city has NO DEBT
(Plus 700 million dollars in reserve funds) !!!

It is absolutely amazing! (watch it all .. hilarious!)

Note:
This lady puts ALL Politicians to shame. Definately someone all mayors should try to emulate. Hazel for Prime Minister! woot!

Sorry to burst your bubble John but this Mayor has to be replaced. Hopefully now that she has crossed the legal line trying to help her son, Mississauga will have the chance to vote for a new Mayor just as you are hoping for in the CNP.Mississauga is a ‘NIMBY’ community. They have bullied the region for years to accomodate their wishes. Vote for Change is not just in your community. We are facing the same challenges in our community. Biggest stumbling block? Voter Apathy. We are a bedroom community of Toronto. Toronto, a once proud city, decimated by the Mayor and his band of merry men/women levying tax upon tax. Hopefully come election time, the good people of Toronto will recall the Miller years of constant tax increases, studity and overall cronyism. We are hoping that our bedroom community will come out to support a new Mayor and council in the fall. Keep hanging in John, you are a great choice for Mayor.

Just goes to show you what we all know about the media.
It’s not about truth, it’s about meal tickets.

    Hi Chloe,
Good to hear from you again. Thanks for the heads up, I didn’t know and I’m sure others did not as well. Obviously what impressed me was the no debt and huge reserves but that was only half the story. I went to YouTube and read the comments there and saw for myself things are not that rosy.

Again, thanks for sharing Chloe and for your words of encouragement and support, they are much appreciated!
