S.C. Rudegan strikes again: ‘Silent Majority’

Silent Majority

Silent Majority

Well, Pass Herald Featured Columnist S.C. Rudegan has done it again with her latest article on this council’s so-called “Silent Majority”.

“A silent majority is a myth unless it takes shape and roars.”

So far, we haven’t heard a peep, never mind a roar?

The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd; indeed in view of the silliness of the majority of mankind, a widespread belief is more likely to be foolish than sensible.

Well all the articles in the world cannot predict what will happen on election day, just a little over 3 months now. I think if people want to make their pitch, they should do it sooner than later. Give everyone information on which to make their decisions. Not just typing stuff, but face to face, door knocking, like the old days.

I disagree. The articles and comments published on this blog, give me, someone who has never met the man, a way better idea of who he is, and what he stands for, than a 2 min conversation, and a handshake would do, standing in my doorway.

Very well written article. It reminds me though of the inspection done on the municipality. Does anyone know when we may get the results?
Also the hotel deadline has come and gone again. If council wants to be transparent should they not have a press release even if it is a “no”, or a maybe. Why keep everyone guessing.

Yes, blogs are good up to a point. Still need to meet in person though.

11:11 In this day and age all the info you need comes and goes in emails or on facebook or youtube by phone or fax. The only time you need to meet in person is if you both decide to have SEX. If you talk politics with them they screw you by trying to control you feeding bull in secret… in your door-way where no one but you witness the lies.

    Wow, 2:05, angry much.

Anon. 2:05 PM. If your theory were correct, we wouldn’t have voted in most of our politicians. Seeing how they perform in person is important. Without personal conversation, we are losing our related skills.

Oh, you forgot the phone sex part for a clean sweep.

My goodness, have you ever heard of a town hall meeting, or debate where you meet them. You are a little short-sighted to say the least.

    I think that 2:05 needs it…
