Steve Munshaw: One-Year Anniversary

The Crowsnest Voice has done a story on the one-year anniversary of our municipality’s Fire Chief Steve Munshaw.

Give it a read here.

The Crowsnest Voice also did my press release for the upcoming election which if you haven’t read it yet can be viewed here.

Only by standing up to the injustices of society while braving the slings & bards of the unwashed masses is good change truly achieved.

An interesting article. He seems really optimistic and very happy to be here. I am happy to see good training and them working together. It really makes sense, not dividing all the fire stuff up, but being one.
We could all learn from this don’t you think.
I will be attending the open house. Also, muscular dystrophy is an awesome charity to donate to.

    Finally a good news story.

When are they going to do a story on the Firemen that volunteered for all the years???

Not that interesting when you know that he has been trying to weasel into a job in Fernie for half his time here. he is just a hired gun paid to do the dirty work of this councel. The spin on his part is to help his resume because someone will be thrown under the bus on this file and he realizes the other person already headed for higher ground elsewhere. He should not be humored like this he should be ostracised.

Why do volunteers volunteer? Is it for the cause? Or do they do it for the accolades? A volunteer should quietly go about their business and steer clear of public grandstanding.

. Their legacy will be that they quit volunteering.

    Very good statement 12:58.
    I really agree with you.
And volunteer means volunteer, not run the show for your own good.
And not always saying, look at me, look at me.

And there have been several stories for people that have volunteered around here, not just the firemen. They are one of many.

We can only write them one story at a time… and that’s what we intend to do.

Revolving door of top managers is what we have here. They are looking for their next job the day they get here. Do you really think we are a final stop place in a career with the reputation we have for retaining managers. Every time you see a write up and attaboy article, the departure is near. Fernie is,closer to Kimberley, no.
