Tariffs, American Gangsterism
They say America has no friends, only interests. Or put another way, “…. a nation founded on the pillars of genocide, slavery, patriarchy, violent repression of popular movements, savage war crimes committed to expand the empire, and capitalist exploitation.” I wonder, is Canada next on their list? Easy pickings.
The world is transitioning from a unipolar US hegemony to a multi-polar world led by BRICS, and as a result US gangsterism is on full display and at full throttle, desperately trying to hold onto power and influence by any means necessary. As what we’ve been seeing with their support of a genocide in Gaza, and the recent imposition of tariffs on its friends and neighbours.
With the ascendency of Trump the US has fallen into a state of moral putrefaction, with corruption running rampant throughout the government ranks. Knowing that corruption is merely a nasty word for the autumn of a people we can safely say that we are witnessing the decline of empire.
Time to jump ship and move on from a marriage that no longer works and has become toxic. And learn from our mistakes. On a quite day, I can hear BRICS calling. Time to answer that call, I say.
